PSPX2
Half Cage
The dedicated strength bay. Two 75 x 75mm structural uprights with J-hooks, spotting arms and a chin bar up front, plate storage on the rear frame, all on the same 25mm attachment spec as every Phoenix rig. Full squat rack capability without the depth of a power cage.
Structural engineer designed and simulation tested to 500kg. Built for PT studios, warehouse gyms and the heavy corner of a commercial floor.

PSPX2
Black
The stocked half cage. Black OptiGrip polyresin over 75 x 75mm structural steel, 304 stainless J-hooks and fixings. Pictured with the multi-grip pull-up bar upgrade and a full rear storage frame in a PT studio.
Every attachment on the Phoenix rig page bolts onto this frame: dip bar, landmine, extra storage, lat pull and low row kit.

PSPX2
Phoenix Red
Same steel, same hardware, in Phoenix Red. Pictured installed and loaded on a commercial floor with the rear storage pegs carrying the plates. The red uprights match the Phoenix Red rigs, so a half cage and a rig run read as one system.
Same price as black. Same in-stock lead time.

Engineered, not estimated
Why gyms choose the PSPX2
Every joint was designed by a structural engineer and run through simulation testing to a 500kg station rating before the first unit left the factory. Most racks at this price are drawn, not engineered.
75 x 75mm structural SHS uprights in 3mm or 4mm wall, CNC laser cut, numbered holes, bolt-together with no site welding. The same uprights as the Phoenix rig range.
J-hooks, spotting arms and fixings in 304 stainless, not zinc-plated mild steel. Coastal gym, humid shed or outdoor pad, the hardware does not corrode.
OptiGrip polyresin with a UV-stable finish. The same cage goes indoors or onto a deck with no premium outdoor SKU and no warranty asterisk.
Storage on the rear frame, dip bar, landmine, multi-grip bar, lat pull kit. Add what the programming demands, and join it to a rig run later without replacing the cage.
Half cage format gives full squat rack function without the depth of a power cage. The rear frame carries the plates so the floor around it stays clear.

Common questions
PSPX2 FAQ
What is a half cage and how is it different from a power cage?
A half cage has two tall uprights at the front with the lifter working in front of them, and a shorter rear frame that braces the structure and carries plate storage. A full power cage has four tall uprights with the lifter inside. The half cage takes less floor depth and gives open access to the bar; the full cage gives enclosed safeties for heavy unsupervised lifting.
How much does the PSPX2 half cage cost?
$1,850.00 in black or Phoenix Red, ex GST · freight quoted up front. Custom colours are the same price and made to order. Attachments are priced on this page and added to your order or quote.
What is the PSPX2 rated to?
500kg station rating. The frame was designed by a structural engineer and run through simulation testing before production.
What attachments fit the PSPX2?
Everything in the Phoenix and Valkyrie range. The PSPX2 uses 25mm holes on 25mm centres, the same spec as every Phoenix rig, so J-hooks, spotting arms, the dip bar, multi-grip bar, landmine, utility pegs, barbell holders and the lat pull and low row kit all bolt straight on.
Can I bolt the PSPX2 to a rig later?
Yes. The uprights, hole spacing and cross-member lengths match the rig system, so a half cage can be joined into a rig run or extended with rig components when the gym grows.
Does it need to be anchored?
Yes. Anchor the base plates to a sound concrete slab with galvanised Dynabolt concrete screws. The cage ships flat-packed with instructions and most builders or a capable gym owner can assemble and anchor it. Watch the install video on this page.
Can it go outdoors?
Yes. OptiGrip polyresin UV-stable coating and 304 stainless hardware mean the same cage runs indoors, under a roof or on an outdoor pad without an outdoor upcharge.
How long until it arrives?
Black and Phoenix Red ship from stock with freight quoted up front to your site, Australia-wide. Custom colours are made to order and the lead time is confirmed on your quote.
