The Problem

Most resistance bands are garbage

Cheap latex, glued joins, bands that snap after 50 reps. You've seen it. Here's what to look for instead.

Joins that snap under load

Import bands are glued end-to-end. That join is the weakest point — and it lets go right when you're mid-squat. Phoenix bands have zero joins: one continuous tube of latex, end to end.

Wrong resistance for the job

Buying one band and guessing the weight? Every exercise has an optimal resistance range. Our colour-coded system from 5 kg to 85 kg means you always have the right band for the movement.

Cheap latex that degrades fast

Synthetic latex breaks down quickly with UV exposure and sweat. Natural latex maintains elasticity over thousands of reps. The difference in lifespan is significant — especially in a commercial setting.

Resistance Range

Five bands. Every movement covered.

Colour-coded to match our Olympic bumper plate system. Grab the right resistance at a glance in any busy gym.

Colour Name Resistance Best for Typical user
Green — X-Light 5–15 kg Mobility, shoulder warm-up, rehab Physio, warm-up circuits
Yellow — Light 10–25 kg Pull-up assist (beginner), banded rows Beginners, women's programs
Blue — Medium 15–40 kg Pull-up assist (intermediate), banded deadlifts Intermediate athletes, CrossFit
Red — LargeMOST POPULAR 25–65 kg Pull-up assist (advanced), banded squats & RDLs Advanced athletes, strength training
Purple — X-Large 35–85 kg Heavy loaded banded work, elite strength programs Elite, powerlifting, loaded carries
Why Phoenix Power Bands

Not all bands are created equal

Three things make Phoenix Power Bands different from what you'll find at Rebel or on eBay.

🔄

Zero joins construction

Continuous latex layering from end to end. No join means no weak point. No snap under load. Handles thousands of reps in commercial environments before showing wear.

🎨

Colour-coded system

Green, yellow, blue, red, purple — same colour logic as our Olympic bumper plates. Athletes know instantly what they're grabbing. No guessing, no weight label stickers peeling off.

🏭

Factory direct pricing

We manufacture and import direct. No retail middleman inflating margins. You get commercial-grade 100% natural latex at a price that doesn't require a committee to approve.

FAQ

Common questions

What resistance level should I start with?
For pull-up assist, most people start with Red (Large, 25–65 kg) if they can do a few unassisted pull-ups already, or Blue (Medium, 15–40 kg) if they're just building up. For mobility and shoulder warm-up, Green (X-Light) or Yellow (Light) are ideal. For banded squats and RDLs, Red or Purple depending on your training load. If you're unsure, start with a Red — it's the most versatile.
What does "zero joins" actually mean?
Cheap resistance bands are made from flat latex strips with the ends glued or welded together. That join point is always weaker than the rest of the band. Phoenix Power Bands are manufactured as a continuous loop — the latex is layered around a mandrel, creating one seamless tube with no joint anywhere. There's no weak point for stress to concentrate on, which is why they hold up in high-volume commercial environments.
Are these the same as Micro Bands?
No. Power Bands are long loop bands (~2080mm looped) designed for full-body movements like pull-up assist, banded squats, RDLs, and loaded carries. Micro Bands are short-loop bands (around 30–40cm) designed for glute activation, lateral band walks, clamshells, and accessory work. We sell both — and they complement each other well in a full program.
Can I use Power Bands outdoors?
Yes. Natural latex handles outdoor environments well — it's UV resistant, sweat resistant, and chalk resistant. Phoenix Power Bands are regularly used in outdoor PT sessions, track and field warm-ups, and defence field training. Just store them away from direct prolonged UV exposure (a bag or box is fine) to maximise lifespan.
Do you offer volume pricing for commercial orders?
Yes. For orders of 10+ bands across any mix of resistance levels, we can quote custom volume pricing. CrossFit boxes, PT studios, hotel gyms, schools and defence facilities typically order 20–50 bands at a time. Use the form above or call us on 0422 046 895 to discuss your requirements.
How long do Phoenix Power Bands last?
In a commercial setting with daily use, expect 12–24 months before performance starts to degrade — significantly longer than cheaper synthetic bands. In home gym use, many customers report 3–5+ years of regular use. The natural latex construction is the main reason for the extended lifespan. If a band does snap (rare), contact us — we stand behind our product.
