Gym rigs built
like infrastructure
Wall mounted or free standing, one cell or twenty. 75 x 75mm structural steel uprights in 3mm or 4mm wall, 25mm holes on 25mm centres, bolt-together, outdoor rated. Package priced, and the price is the same for everyone.
Every rig on this page is quoted and built by Andy Taylor, ex-3RAR, Sunshine Coast. Snap Fitness, Defence sites, World Gym, CrossFit boxes and 1,000+ independent gyms train on Phoenix steel.
Wall mounted rigs
Uprights anchor to your structural wall. One working side. Zero floor footprint on the rig side. 1, 2, 3 or 4+ cells.

Wall Mounted
1 Cell
One working station mounted straight to the wall. The 1800mm cell takes a full 7ft Olympic bar with room to load, unload and move, or a 6ft or 5ft bar where it is tight. Ideal for narrow facilities and any gym where every square metre of floor matters.
Supplied as a complete pre-packaged rig. Bought as parts this rig totals $994. The package is our best price and everyone gets it, online or by email.

Wall Mounted
2 Cell
Two people training at the same time. Two 1800mm stations, each with full 7ft barbell clearance, anchored to the wall so your training floor stays open. The most popular first rig for small PT studios and boutique gyms.
Pictured in a custom colour. Black is standard, any RAL colour on request. Bought as parts this rig totals $2,159.

Wall Mounted
3 Cell
Three working stations along one wall. Three people training at once, each with an 1800mm bay and full 7ft barbell clearance. The most popular configuration for PT studios and boutique gyms that want class capacity without a free standing footprint.
Bought as parts this rig totals $3,324. Custom configurations available. Andy does the layout assessment with you.

Wall Mounted
4+ Cell
Four or more working stations along a single wall, every cell 1800mm with full barbell clearance. Built for commercial gyms, Defence facilities and large-format PT spaces running multiple sessions at once. At this scale the wall rig is the anchor of the facility.
Every large-format wall rig is designed to your wall structure, ceiling height and floor plan. Andy specs it on a call and comes back with a line-item quote.
Free standing rigs
Self-supporting on 150 x 150 x 10mm base plates. Both sides train. Goes where the floor plan needs it, not where the walls are.

Free Standing
1 Cell
A complete self-supporting station that stands independent of any wall. Where a wall rig gives you one working side, a free standing rig gives you two. One 1800mm bay, two athletes training at once from the same frame.
Two depths. Standard 1080mm for PT studios and functional areas. Wide boy 1800mm for more room between athletes, sled work and longer implements. Bought as parts this rig totals $1,795.

Free Standing
2 Cell
The most popular entry point for commercial operators who need functional capacity without a structural wall. Two 1800mm bays, four athletes at once, two per side, each cell clear for a full 7ft bar. Four barbell stations from one frame.
Stands on its own base plates. Wall anchoring can be added for extra rigidity in high-volume facilities. Bought as parts this rig totals $3,931.

Free Standing
3 Cell
The most common configuration for serious commercial facilities, CrossFit boxes, strength and conditioning centres and Defence. Three cells across both sides means six athletes training at once from one frame. 5400mm of rig, every cell clear for a 7ft bar.
This is the rig in the time lapse at the top of the page, built outdoors. Bolt-together, so it extends to 4+ cells later without replacing anything. Bought as parts this rig totals $6,068.

Free Standing
4+ Cell
Eight or more athletes at once across two sides of one modular frame. Four cells is 7200mm of rig. Five is 9000mm. Six, eight, ten, the bolt-together system runs as far as your floor plan allows, straight, L-shape or U-shape.
Pictured: a seven cell run in custom white with client branding. At this scale Andy works the floor plan with you, specs cells, depth, height and attachments, and quotes line by line.
Monkey bar rigs
Any wall mounted or free standing rig with monkey bar panels across the top. Same uprights, same 25mm spec, available in 1, 2, 3 and 4+ cells.

Monkey Bar Rig
Wall Mounted
Take any wall mounted configuration on this page and run monkey bar panels along the top. Traverses, hangs, brachiation and obstacle work on the same frame that holds your squat stations, without adding floor footprint.
Panels come in 1080mm and 1800mm lengths to match the cells, plus a diagonal panel with 900mm of rise for climbing lines. Available in every cell count, 1 through 4+.

Monkey Bar Rig
Free Standing
The free standing version. Monkey bar panels span the top of a self-supporting rig, so both sides still train underneath while the traverse runs overhead. The standard build for CrossFit boxes, obstacle programs, Defence PT and outdoor training pads.
Wide boy 1800mm depth gives the longest traverse per cell. Pair panels with the Shrimp Trawler and multi-grip bars for a full grip and hang circuit.
Specialist rigs
If your space does not fit a straight line, we design it. Staircase, boxing, L and U shapes, hybrids, franchise specs.

Staircase
Rigs
Uprights at ascending heights, stairs and platforms built into the frame. Step-ups, box jumps, sled pushes up the incline, hangs and traverses off the top. The staircase rigs pictured were engineered and built for a commercial client from a brief and a floor plan.
We take complex briefs and deliver rigs that fit your exact space, loading requirements and training style. Technical drawings supplied where the build needs them.

Custom
Boxing Rigs
Heavy bag hangers, speedball and double-end anchors run off the same 75 x 75mm uprights and 1800mm cross-members as the strength rig, so one frame carries the bag line, the pull-up bars and the squat stations. Laid out to your floor and your class flow.
Built for boxing gyms, MMA and combat clubs and functional studios running bag rounds beside barbell work. Tell Andy how many bags and how many lifters and he will spec the run.

Wall mounted or free standing?
Wall mounted anchors to a structural wall and trains from one side. It uses no floor on the rig side, so it suits narrow rooms, PT studios and any gym where the floor is the asset. Free standing stands on 150 x 150 x 10mm base plates anchored to the slab and trains from both sides, which doubles the stations per cell and lets the rig sit wherever the floor plan wants it. Rule of thumb: if you have a solid wall and fewer than eight lifters at once, wall mounted. If you need capacity or you are working in a warehouse, box or outdoor pad, free standing.
| Configuration | Stations | Rig width | Package |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wall 1 cell | 1 | 1800mm | $609 |
| Wall 2 cell | 2 | 3600mm | $1,289 |
| Wall 3 cell | 3 | 5400mm | $1,979 |
| Wall 4+ cell | 4+ | 7200mm+ | Quote |
| Free standing 1 cell | 2 | 1800mm | $1,119 |
| Free standing 2 cell | 4 | 3600mm | $2,389 |
| Free standing 3 cell | 6 | 5400mm | $3,659 |
| Free standing 4+ cell | 8+ | 7200mm+ | Quote |
Package prices ex GST · freight quoted up front. Bought as individual parts the same rigs cost 38 to 40 percent more.
How many cells do I need?
One cell is one 1800mm bay, wide enough for a 7ft Olympic bar with room to load and unload. Count your peak simultaneous lifters, not your members. A wall rig gives one lifter per cell, a free standing rig gives two. A PT studio running groups of six wants a free standing 3 cell or a wall 6 cell. A box running classes of twelve wants a free standing 6 cell. Cells bolt on later, so buy for this year and extend when the numbers grow.
3mm or 4mm uprights?
Both are 75 x 75mm structural SHS. 3mm is the stocked commercial standard, already heavier than the 2mm to 2.5mm most competitors run without telling you, and right for commercial gyms, PT studios, schools and premium home gyms. 4mm is the heavy commercial spec, stiffer under dynamic load with less flex on kipping and drops, for universities, professional sporting facilities, Defence and high-traffic boxes. You choose per project.
Standard or wide boy depth?
Depth is the cross-member between the front and back uprights on a free standing rig. Standard is 1080mm, the common commercial choice where floor space matters. Wide boy is 1800mm, for more room between athletes on opposite sides, sled and prowler work through the rig, and longer monkey bar traverses.
2500mm suits most rooms with a 2.7m ceiling. 2750mm and 3000mm give muscle-up and rope clearance under higher ceilings. 3500mm is for warehouse and high-bay facilities. Allow 200mm above the upright for anchors and fixings. Mixed heights are used on staircase and specialist rigs.
Free standing uprights sit on 150 x 150mm, 10mm thick base plates. We recommend galvanised Dynabolt concrete screws into a sound slab. Wall rigs fix to structural masonry or steel, not plasterboard. Most builders or a capable gym owner can install from our instructions. Watch the install video below.
Phoenix rigs are coated in OptiGrip polyresin with a UV-stable finish and fitted with 304 stainless hardware, so the same rig goes indoors, on a deck, poolside, onto a Defence pad or into a FIFO camp. No premium outdoor SKU and no warranty asterisk. The time lapse at the top of the page is an outdoor build.
25mm holes on 25mm centres, numbered up the upright. Every Phoenix attachment, and every Valkyrie attachment from the last decade, bolts straight on. J-hooks, spotting arms, dip bars, multi-grip bars, Shrimp Trawlers, wall ball targets, storage shelves, lat pull and low row kits, belt squat.
Standard configurations turn around fastest. Custom heights, mixed cells, colours and specialist builds take longer and are confirmed on the quote. Rigs ship flat-packed Australia-wide with freight quoted up front to your site.
Black is standard. Any RAL colour on request for uprights, chin bars or the whole rig, plus client branding. The teal wall rig, the white seven cell and the blue storage rig on this page are all standard Phoenix steel in custom colour.

Same steel, same hardware, every rig
Andy walks through a PSPX2 half cage build. It is the same 75 x 75mm uprights, the same 304 stainless hardware and the same attachments as every rig on this page. Then the hardware animation shows how the J-hooks, spotting arms and pegs click on and off, and Andy talks through the uprights on the MTG container gym.

Quoted with the rigWhy Phoenix
Better steel. Better hardware. Lower price than the big names.
Most commercial rigs are built to a price point, not a standard. Here is what the brochure leaves out and what we do instead.
Most competitors run 2mm or 2.5mm uprights and do not volunteer it. Phoenix is 3mm or 4mm, your call per project. On a rig taking daily commercial load for ten years that gauge is the difference between solid and flexing.
J-hooks, spotting arms, bolts: 304 stainless, not zinc-plated mild steel. In coastal, humid or outdoor gyms that is a decade of service instead of corrosion inside two years.
OptiGrip polyresin UV coating, not a powder coat with a marketing label. The indoor rig and the outdoor rig are the same rig. No premium outdoor SKU, no exclusion.
Two premium brands in the Australian market. Phoenix comes in under both with heavier steel and better hardware, because you are buying from the source, not through a distribution chain.
Every configuration above is 38 to 40 percent under its parts total, online or by email. No haggling and no secret trade list. The package price is the deal.
Every enquiry comes to Andy Taylor. He tells you what you need, what you do not, and what it costs. Over 1,000 commercial gym configurations designed and installed across Australia and the Pacific.
"I built my first rig system more than a decade ago under the Valkyrie name. Every spec, the steel gauge, the hardware grade, the coating, was chosen because I wanted a rig I would be proud to put my name on."

Common questions
Gym rig FAQ
How much does a commercial gym rig cost in Australia?
Phoenix wall mounted rig packages are $609.00 for 1 cell, $1,289.00 for 2 cells and $1,979.00 for 3 cells. Free standing packages are $1,119.00, $2,389.00 and $3,659.00 for 1, 2 and 3 cells. Prices are ex GST · freight quoted up front. Four cells and up, monkey bar, staircase and boxing rigs are quoted to your floor plan. The package price is the same for everyone, online or by email.
What is the difference between a wall mounted and a free standing rig?
A wall mounted rig anchors to a structural wall and trains from one side, using no floor on the rig side. A free standing rig stands on anchored base plates, trains from both sides and can sit anywhere on the floor. Wall mounted suits narrow rooms and PT studios. Free standing suits boxes, warehouses, outdoor pads and any facility that needs capacity.
What is a cell on a gym rig?
A cell is one 1800mm bay between uprights, wide enough for a full 7ft Olympic barbell with room to load and unload. One cell is one training station on a wall rig and two stations on a free standing rig, one each side. Cell count is how Phoenix rigs are sized and priced.
What is the difference between 3mm and 4mm uprights?
Both are 75 x 75mm structural steel. 3mm is the stocked commercial standard, already heavier than most competitor rigs, and right for the vast majority of gyms. 4mm is the heavy-duty option with more torsional rigidity and less flex under dynamic load, suited to high-traffic boxes, universities, professional sport and Defence. You choose per project.
Can a Phoenix rig go outdoors?
Yes, without modification, upcharge or warranty exclusion. The OptiGrip polyresin UV coating is stable in direct sun and the hardware is 304 stainless steel, so Phoenix rigs run on outdoor pads, decks, poolside, Defence sites and FIFO camps. The time lapse at the top of this page is an outdoor build.
How is a gym rig installed and is installation included?
Rigs arrive flat-packed with full instructions. Free standing uprights sit on 150 x 150 x 10mm base plates anchored with galvanised Dynabolt concrete screws into a sound slab. Wall rigs fix to structural masonry or steel. Most builders, gym fit-out contractors or a capable owner can install from our documentation. Watch the install video on this page. Installation by our crews can be quoted for larger projects.
How high should my ceiling be for a rig?
Add about 200mm to the upright height for anchors and fixings. 2500mm uprights suit a 2.7m ceiling. 2750mm and 3000mm need a higher room and give clearance for muscle-ups and rope climbs. 3500mm is for warehouses and high-bay facilities. Tell Andy your ceiling height and he will pick the upright.
Can I add cells or attachments later?
Yes. The system is bolt-together and every component connects on the same 25mm hole spacing, so you can add bays, chin bars, monkey bar panels, storage and attachments as the gym grows without replacing what you have.
Are Phoenix rigs compatible with Valkyrie attachments?
Yes. Phoenix uses the same 25mm holes on 25mm centres as every Valkyrie rig and rack, so all Valkyrie attachments fit, and Valkyrie rigs can be extended with Phoenix components.
How do Phoenix rigs compare to Alphafit or IronEdge?
Phoenix comes in cheaper than both, with heavier 3mm or 4mm steel, 304 stainless hardware and an outdoor rated coating. You are buying direct from the source rather than through a distribution chain, and that margin comes off the price.
What is the lead time on a rig?
Standard configurations turn around fastest. Custom heights, non-standard cell counts, colours, monkey bar, staircase and boxing rigs take longer and the timeline is confirmed on your quote. Freight is quoted up front to your site, Australia-wide.
Do you supply Defence, schools and government?
Yes. Phoenix supplies ADF facilities, schools, councils and government with itemised quotes, spec sheets and drawings where required. Andy Taylor, ex-3RAR, handles Defence enquiries directly on 0422 046 895.

Same steel, same 25mm spec, different footprint. Half cage, full cage, or the whole gym in a shipping container.

PSPX2
Half Cage
A complete half cage built from the same 75 x 75mm uprights and 304 stainless hardware as the rigs. Squat, bench and press with J-hooks and spotting arms, plate storage on the back, pull-up bar over the top. The strength bay for a PT studio or the heavy corner of a commercial floor.
Every rig attachment on this page fits the PSPX2. Watch Andy build one in the install video above.

PSPX3
Full Cage
The full power cage. Four 75 x 75mm uprights, safety arms at any height, pull-up bar, band pegs, plate storage. Built for heavy singles and AMRAP sets with the lifter fully inside the frame. Standalone, or joined in a row from the same rig components.
Pictured: a row of full cages built from Phoenix rig parts for a commercial floor. Same 25mm spec, so every attachment above bolts on.

MTG
Container Gyms
Phoenix rig cells mounted on a 10ft or 20ft shipping container, with the bars, bumpers, benches and storage inside. Moves by air, land or sea, sets up within the hour. Built for Defence, FIFO mining, elite sport on tour and remote sites where there is no gym for 500km.
MTG 10 runs three cells, MTG 20 runs five. Custom uprights with stainless footings, coated in eight standard colours or your unit crest.
